Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 3809.15 crore), RIL(Rs. 2665.95 crore), Indian Railway Fin(Rs. 2621.19 crore), Jio Financial Servic(Rs. 2482.99 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 2219.99 crore), NHPC(Rs. 1808.27 crore), L&T(Rs. 1631.14 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1545.57 crore), SBI(Rs. 1466.07 crore) and Infosys(Rs. 1446.49 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 148.96 points up at 22146.65, while BSE Sensex rose 335.39 points to 73097.28.

In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 6.24 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 4.82 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.62 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.60 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 3.10 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.95 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
