The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has floated a scheme where over 600 apartments in different categories will be offered at a discount of 15 to 25 percent and the registration for these flats started on March 14, 2024, officials aware of the matter said.
Besides, the Authority has separately put on sale 1042 flats in HIG (higher income group) and LIG (lower income group) categories on old prices.
Officials said that both these offers are part of its ongoing Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023 where flats are being sold in phases. The allocation of these flats will be decided on a first come first serve (FCFS) basis.

A senior official of the DDA said that under the scheme flats of different categories such as LIG and MIG (middle-income group) are being offered at a discount of 15 and 25 percent.
“These 2BHK and 1BHK flats which are being offered on discount are located in Narela and Ramgarh Colony near Jahangirpuri respectively. We are offering 15 percent discount for the normal public while 25 percent discount on price is for all government employees including central as well as state government, autonomous bodies, local bodies and PSUs along with DDA retired employees,” the official said, who wished not to be named.
The official added that the move is to clear out the inventory and boost sales of affordable and mid-segment housing.

Out of 656 flats being offered on discount, 445 are 2BHK MIG flats and 211 are 1BHK LIG apartments. The normal pricing of 2BHK flats located in Narela range between Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.02 crore while after discount these flats will be available in a price range of Rs 75 lakh to Rs 87 lakh.
Similarly, the prices of LIG flats range from Rs 15.3 lakh to Rs 16.9 lakh but after a discount, these flats will be available for Rs 13.1 lakh to Rs 14.5 lakh.
Besides, the 1042 flats being offered at old rates are housed in Jasola, Rohini, Siraspur and Loknayakpuram. Only 8 HIG flats (3BHK) located in Jasola are being offered under the scheme while the remaining 1034 apartments are in the 1BHK LIG category.

The pricing of these apartments ranges between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 2.18 crore. All these flats are being offered on an FCFS basis, officials said.
