Vail Valley real estate transactions on the upswing

As local temperatures rise with the impending arrival of spring, home sales also saw a lift last month throughout the Vail Valley. In February, 79 homes sold, which was a 36% increase from the 58 homes sold in January.
The median sale price was $1.795 million, up 32% from January. The median list price was $1.845 million in February, up from $1.46 million the previous month. LIV Sotheby’s International Realty’s monthly market report data shows that total sales volume in the Vail Valley was $200,738,043 in February, an 81% jump from $111,051,460 in January.
The sale-to-list price ratio held steady at 96%, as sellers continue to receive very close to the full asking price for their homes. As of March 14, there were 274 homes for sale and 204 homes under contract. For more market data, visit ColoradoMarketReports.com.
Top February sales by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty brokers include a five-bedroom, seven-bathroom Snowshoe Lane home in Vail which closed for $8.81 million, with luxury real estate agent Malia Cox Nobrega representing the seller.
