Harrison: Deep appreciation for supporters of young musicians playing at Eagles Club No. 184

I want to extend my deep appreciation and gratitude to the Roaring Fork Valley and extended Aspen community for your incredible support of the young musicians who played an amazing show at the Eagles Club No. 184 this past Saturday evening. This fundraising event by Rock and Roll Academy Aspen (RRAA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit music education organization, was to raise funds and awareness in the community about supporting mental health and wellness in our community through arts education.
I was blown away by the turn out and excited to say that we raised almost $1,400 with this one benefit concert. Congrats on a stellar show to the four young men who make up the local band SALT (EJ Becker, guitar and vocals; Braden Scott, guitar and vocals; Nick Hearn, bass; Bodi Francis, drums) and who are graduates of the RRAA program. They are supreme examples of the creativity, artistry, and dedication that our younger generation processes — and they rocked!
A big shout out of appreciation to the Eagles Club No. 184 for hosting our event and letting us make some noise. I am also very grateful for the support of The Aspen Thrift Store, Alpine Bank, Gibson Guitars, Love Rocks Studio, The Aspen Times, TACAW, and all the individual donors who have supported the mission of RRAA over our 13 years of service in the Valley. It truly takes a village, and this important work would not be possible without your support.
Everyone is invited to see our next event, the Spring Rock Concert at TACAW on Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. If you would like to know more about RRAA or to donate to our cause, please visit rockandrollacademyaspen.org.
