Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 11:00AM

Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 0.55%) were among the top gainers.

Agro Phos India Ltd.(down 5.82%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(down 5.49%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(down 5.38%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 5.37%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 4.96%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(down 4.89%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 4.79%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 4.72%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 4.40%) and Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 4.32%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 61.91 points down at 22273.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 58.17 points at 73609.79 at around 11:00AM.

ITC Ltd.(up 6.68%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.05%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.56%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.05%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.78%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.72%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.6%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.55%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.38%) and Infosys Ltd.(up 0.27%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 5.69%), NTPC Ltd.(down 4.91%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 4.11%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 3.78%), Coal India Ltd.(down 3.62%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.79%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.74%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.0%), UPL Ltd.(down 1.86%) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.85%) were trading in the red.
