The Indo Daily: Kate’s Photoshop blunder, a toe-sucking scandal and Harry’s Nazi costume – photos the royals wish we had never seen

Kate Middleton and children

A family photo released for Mother’s Day is at the centre of a royal row. The image was of Kate Middleton and her three children, all huddled up together, in a scene that represented a happy and normal family. It was clear the image was aimed at dispelling any speculation around Kate’s medical issues and disappearance from public life that had plagued the royals for months. The picture, however, was manipulated, pouring petrol on the conspiracies the royal family now finds itself at the centre of.

Within hours of it being posted on social media, royal fans pointed out a number of editing failures, including that the sleeve of Princess Charlotte’s cardigan did not line up.

In an Instagram post yesterday morning, the princess said: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.”

Today on The Indo Daily, Denise Calnan is joined by former Royal Correspondent for the BBC Jennie Bond to discuss how the latest royal blunder has worsened conspiracy theories surrounding Kate Middleton, and to look at the other photographic scandals that have followed the Windsors through the decades.
