Chelsea's top-of-the-table clash against Arsenal will be played in front of over 30,000 fans at Stamford Bridge on Friday.

The Women's Super League leaders confirmed on Monday that the game is set to be the Blues' highest attendance of the season so far by quite some distance.

The announcement comes just a week after the club announced ticket sales had passed the 25,000 mark for outgoing boss Emma Hayes' last WSL game at the stadium.

While the anticipated number of supporters is unlikely to top their all-time record 38,350 crowd set against Tottenham in the 2022/23 campaign, it will comfortably beat this season's previous best.

That figure was recorded in a 3-1 win over Manchester United in January, when 20,473 fans flocked to the ground to watch Lauren James net a match-winning hat-trick.

And the support could prove crucial for the Blues as they look to extend their three-point lead over third-place Arsenal and pile the pressure on Manchester City, who sit second only on goal difference.
