Thackeray further added the notification of rules under the Citizenship Amendment Act is an election jumla. He said Parsis, Sikhs, Hindus and others coming to India from neighbouring countries are welcome but the timing of the notification comes just before the Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP leader said Kejriwal’s peculiar statement came that outsiders will take away jobs due to the CAA. He asked what kind of logic is this? The AAP leader added if those people are brought to India and selectively settled in constituencies where the BJP government is politically weak, the vote bank of the BJP will rise.
