Crocs has unveiled its latest collaboration with Marvel, taking inspiration from superhero Captain America.
To mimic the superhero’s iconic sculpted suit, the casual footwear brand chose to reinterpret the Echo Clog giving a patriotic colorway. The slip-on set was dressed in white rubber with a red and blue graphic against the toe that resembles the character’s costume.
Along with a royal blue branded footbed, the shoes are accompanied by a red heel pad at the center of the adjustable gray strap, which was embellished by a rubber wing attachment that sat on the outer sides of the pair. The clogs were completed by a custom Jibbitz set that included one that looked like the superhero’s shield.
The style will be available on June 11 at $89.99.
Crocs will also release a kids’ rendition of the Captain America Echo Clog. The silhouette differentiates itself with a light blue upper that displays a red and white striped look against the toe.
The kid’s version will retail at $74.99.
In the past, Crocs has released clog styles inspired by Spider-Man, Venom and other superheroes from Marvel.
Crocs is constantly reinterpreting its signature silhouettes to allow customers to represent their favorite brands. The iconic Classic Clog has allowed for many partnerships with a variety of companies from fast food chains like Kentucky Fried Chicken to high-end labels, including Balenciaga. Each brand creates a unique design involving endless color and texture options that truly represent their signature aesthetic.
Since the beginning of this year, the casual footwear brand has already released a few collaborations, including a two-piece collection inspired by the Japanese anime series “Naruto.” The franchise partnered with the brand on two colorways, which included silver metal plating along the shoe’s front. The detailing on the sets are meant to mimic Naruto’s and Kakashi’s everyday outfits in the show.
