After Prashanth Neel's KGF became an enormous hit, the Kannada cinema industry saw an unprecedented rise in popularity. Indian viewers responded strongly to Neel's skillful narrative, suspenseful action scenes, and enhanced portrayal of his heroes, which raised the bar for action-packed entertainment. Director A Harsha was given the job of directing "Bhimaa," which starred Gopichand in the title character, in order to achieve this goal. "Bhimaa," which promises to combine legendary and mystical aspects with action, draws viewers in with its explanation of myths and mystical themes. But as the narrative progresses, "Bhimaa" succumbs to cliches like overblown bravery, a ridiculous love subplot, and corny speech.
 
"Bhimaa" lacks resonance in spite of its excellent production value and somewhat superior material when compared to Gopichand's previous films. Even while the movie had some success in select B and C centers, it ultimately doesn't live up to the hype. In retrospect, "Bhimaa" would have profited from a more sophisticated story without the awful romance subplot and antiquated storytelling methods. Although there are some encouraging signs in A Harsha's direction, it is clear that he has not yet attained Prashanth Neel's level of vision and execution.
