British couple Peter Falconio and Joanne Lees were travelling through the heart of the Australian outback on what was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime.

They were driving on the isolated Stuart Highway, deep in the desert, when a man flagged down the couple's camper van.

Peter got out to see what was wrong - he never returned and Joanne was left to fight for her life.

This became the biggest manhunt in the history of Australia’s Northern Territory, and would lead many to question the police’s investigation.

Fionnán Sheehan is joined on the Indo Daily podcast by Andrew Rule, associate editor and columnist with Australian newspaper the Herald Sun, to look at the questions still surrounding the mysterious murder of Peter Falconio.
