Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 10:55AM

Future Consumer Ltd.(up 5.27%), LT Foods Ltd.(up 2.68%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(up 1.04%), Gillette India Ltd.(up 0.84%), Honasa Consumer Ltd.(up 0.47%) and Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(up 0.19%) were among the top gainers.

Dangee Dums Ltd.(down 5.27%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 4.66%), Patanjali Foods Ltd.(down 4.16%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 3.94%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(down 3.84%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 3.28%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(down 3.00%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(down 2.84%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 2.76%) and Jyothy Labs Ltd.(down 2.72%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 36.0 points down at 22296.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 25.58 points at 73477.06 at around 10:55AM.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.41%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.41%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.19%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.01%), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.0%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.98%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.6%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.53%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.3%) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.15%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 2.11%), ITC Ltd.(down 1.68%), State Bank of India(down 1.58%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.57%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.47%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.43%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.35%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.28%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.19%) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.18%) were trading in the red.
