There's actually a good chance you've already slept on American Blossom Linens sheets, because the company mostly does work supplying hotel chains like Hyatt, Marriott, and Sheraton. So, if you're looking for those crisp but soft hotel sheets, buy from the people that make sheets for hotels.

I have a Purple mattress and thus am partial to these Purple sheets, which are super stretchy and easy to put on a mattress as thick as a my own. The fitted sheet doesn't rely on flimsy elastic here: There's a thick elastic band that will go right on and not slip off.

Again, these sheets are predominantly woven from a bamboo viscose fabric. Like those Cozy Earth Sheets, they are super soft from day one. The downside is that they tend to not last as long as cotton sheets.

Percale is a crowd favorite among those who like their sheets soft. It's the typical weave you'll find in hotels. It's cool to the touch and luxuriously soft. Sateen is a classic weave for soft sheets that have a silky overlay. Riley Home makes a set that we found to be simple and executes well on the prompt. The set feels soft and won't let you run too hot or too cool.

Parachute is one of the pricier brands around but its stuff really holds up—even after multiple washes. This is a whole brushed cotton set, including the duvet, but you can pick and choose the items you want. For a total bed overhaul, this is a great set.

As for the fabric, we found this brushed cotton to be a lot softer than the percales and sateens of the world. For us, it sits somewhere between a hotel sheet and a classic flannel sheet. It runs a little bit warm, but it could still be a year-round sheet set.

There are all of these new, fun DTC brands popping up in the bedding space, but don't sleep on the classics. L.L.Bean's comfort flannel is a tried-and-true favorite.

As if we were expecting anything different, these sheets were just as soft as we remember them. When winter comes and you switch out your warm weather sheets for flannel, it's as if you've never felt anything so soft. These might be the softest on the list, but they run seriously warm as a consequence.
