Meanwhile while addressing this rally, sharad pawar has expressed hope that the election commission can announce the lok sabha elections on 14th or 15th March. He told that the election commission has allotted the symbol of "man blowing trumpet" to his organization. Baramati seat is considered to be Sharad Pawar's traditional seat. In the year 1984, sharad pawar won the lok sabha elections for the first time from Baramati seat. After this, he remained lok sabha mp from this seat till 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2004.

Earlier in the 2009 lok sabha elections, sharad pawar left the Baramati seat for his daughter supriya Sule. Its supriya sule is also the mp from this seat in 2009, 2014 and currently i.e. 2019. However, this time his path in Baramati will not be easy. There is speculation that Sunetra Pawar may also contest on this seat, hence there will be a tough competition between sister-in-law and sister-in-law.
