Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 7.89 crore), Infibeam Avenues(number of shares traded: 7.51 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 6.76 crore), Jio Financial Servic(number of shares traded: 4.62 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.90 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 2.37 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 2.29 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.26 crore), JP Associates(number of shares traded: 2.24 crore) and Vikas Ecotech (number of shares traded: 2.11 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 43.3 points down at 22450.25, while BSE Sensex was down 194.84 points at 73924.55 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 2.05 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.40 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.32 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.19 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 3.23 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
