Mikel Arteta’s side snuck a 2-1 win over Brentford on Saturday, and on Sunday a blockbuster clash between Liverpool and City at Anfield ended with a 1-1 stalemate.

The title chasing trio won’t play again until the end of March thanks to the FA Cup and international break, meaning it’s the perfect time to take stock of where things lie.

In the table Arsenal are top, and for good reason, joint on 64 points with Liverpool while City sit one further back, the Gunners have scored the most goals and conceded the fewest of any team in the league.

Yet despite them being the best of the bunch as things stand, their still third favourites in the title race according to leading statistics provider Opta.

City remain favourites with a 45.9 per cent chance of the title, Liverpool 35.3 per cent, and Arsenal 18.8 per cent.

Yet there is some good news.

The weekend saw Arsenal’s chances jump up by 5.8 per cent, while City’s decreased by 5.5 per cent.

Liverpool’s reduced by just 0.3 per cent, and things could certainly have been very different had they been awarded a late penalty for Jeremy Doku’s controversial late boot on the chest of Alexis Mac Allister.
