Carolina Panthers agree to terms with former Miami Dolphins guard Robert Hunt, reports say

The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with offensive guard Robert Hunt, according to several media reports.
The team posted on its website that the deal can't be made official until the start of the league year on Wednesday, and the player passes a physical.
The deal is for five years and worth up to $100 million, including $63 million guaranteed, according to reports.
Hunt's presence should help solidify the Panthers' interior by helping protect second-year quarterback Bryce Young. It should also help establish the team's running game.
Hunt, 27, was a second-round pick (39th overall) by the Miami Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played mostly right tackle as a rookie in 2020 but settled at right guard the past few seasons. He's started 55 games the past four seasons combined.
A hamstring injury limited Hunt to 10 games in 2023.
At an average of $20 million per year, Hunt's deal puts him right near the top of the NFL's offensive guard market. Hunt is tied with the Indianapolis Colts' Quenton Nelson and just below the Atlanta Falcons' Chris Lindstrom, who averages $20.5 million per year on his deal.
