GAIL shares drop 2.2% as Sensex falls

Shares of the GAIL (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 184.4 on BSE at 02:00PM (IST) on Monday, down 2.2 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 102.1 and a high of Rs 196.35.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap down opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 15.02 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 12.27 per share and 1.07 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 705,816 shares changed hands on the counter till 02:00PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 121113.34 crore and is part of the Gas Distribution industry.

The scrip has been an outperformer , up 66.17 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 24.17 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 188.3 and Rs 182.1.

Promoters held 51.52 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2023. FII and MF ownership in GAIL (India) Ltd. stood at 14.14 per cent and 10.09 per cent, respectively.
