More trouble ahead for Louis Walsh on Celebrity Big Brother, says Linda Martin

Louis Walsh was sent to the Celebrity Wheelie Bin of Shame on Celebrity Big Brother this weekend — and his lifetime pal Linda Martin predicts that there’s more trouble ahead for the Irish pop king.

The Westlife manager and fellow contestant Lauren Simon from reality TV show Real Housewives of Cheshire were punished on Friday night for breaking the rule of speculating about who voted to have her evicted.

Discussing nominations in the house is strictly forbidden by ‘Big Brother’ and the shamed pair were ordered to write a letter of apology while spending an hour in the bin.

For CBB viewers who reacted on social media, Louis in the bin was one of the highlights of this week’s entertainment on the show.

“Getting to watch things like Louis Walsh sat in a massive wheelie bin is why I love this show,” wrote one user, while another said: “LOUIS WALSH IS IN THE BIN THIS SERIES IS ICONIC.”

Viewers have also lapped up the gossiping between Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, particularly their scathing rant about their former X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

Osbourne declared she would not work with Cowell again for “all the money in the world” and said he “doesn’t know how to keep friends,” and the pair mocked Simon for what he would say to contestants on X Factor and the way he dresses.

Before going in to the house, Walsh said of Cowell: “I’ve always had a fantastic time with him. I wouldn’t be here but for him. But I’ll gossip as much as I can about him, as often as I can…as safely as I can.”

Speaking to the Sunday World yesterday, Linda Martin said Louis is sure to get into more hot water on Celebrity Big Brother in the days ahead.

He’s going to drop clangers, he’s not the most discreet person in the whole world,” she said.

“Louis has no filter and something is going to annoy him and somebody is going to get a lash.

"I hope he doesn’t stay nice the whole way through the show. As we know, Louis is great at throwing the one liners out and he absolutely annihilates different people in his own unique way…it’s usually truthful and it is entertaining.”

After they entered the house this week, Louis snapped at Lauren when she seemed to be laying claim to his bed — the biggest in their shared bedroom. “One thing we’ve learned this week is that you don’t take Louis’ bed,” Linda laughed. “And we should buy him new pyjamas… I’m not into those tartan ones he’s wearing on the show.”

This week Louis received two nominations for eviction by housemates David Potts and Bradley Riches for refusing to muck in with the housework.

However, Linda reveals that she shared an apartment with Walsh for two years in the late 1980s and would find him hoovering at three in the morning.

“I was going through difficulties in a relationship at the time and Louis said, ‘Come over here, you can have the spare room.’ I ended up living with him for two years.

“Louis was very kind at a time when I needed that kind of support…that’s another side that people don’t know about him.

“I can’t say I ever saw him cooking… he would eat out or take in. But Louis kept the apartment spotless.

“I would arrive home from a gig at 3am and he’d be doing the hoovering. He’s a night owl. The apartment was in Dartry in Dublin and our friends nick-named us The Duke and Duchess of Dartry.”
