Jose Mourinho raised a few eyebrows at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with a brief meeting with a potential employer.

The recently sacked Roma manager has been in the Middle East enjoying some time off from football, first watching Anthony Joshua knockout Francis Ngannou.

Just a day later, he made it over to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for Saturday’s Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Lucky enough to make his way onto the grid pre-race, the former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham coach had beIN Sports’ cameras following his movements.

One in particular caught the eye, with the Portuguese stopping to shake hands with Newcastle chairman Yasir al-Rumayyan.

Al-Rumayyan has become a recognisable face to Premier League fans, with his role as governor of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund [PIF] meaning he spends plenty of time at St. James’ Park.
