Let’s just start this off with a little disclaimer. I am not the world’s foremost thinker when it comes to the topic of climate change, the environment, or the green policies that are being dished out by our political betters. I am no bearded version of Greta Thunberg, and I couldn’t tell you to change your life for the sake of the planet. I will, however, tell you about a little journey I took recently.

For some reason, the higher-ups at RTÉ decided to give me my own TV series, The End of the World With Beanz, and then the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (now called the Coimisiún na Meán) decided to fund it under a climate-action programming scheme. I know, how woke of them.
