WATERBURY – Lesley A. (Hassinger) Petrafassi, 58, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, with her family by her side, after a tragic automobile accident on Feb. 15, 2024.
Lesley was born on Dec. 14, 1965, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Lois and Harold Hassinger.
Lesley is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 24 years, Anthony (Tony) Petrafassi Jr.; her daughters, Ashley Hassinger and her spouse LaTiana Headen, Bianca Petrafassi and her fiance Greg Colburn; brothers, Gary Hassinger and his wife Dori, Brad Hassinger, Brent Hassinger Sr. and his wife Debbie, Todd Hassinger; and sister, Dana Coelho and her husband Kevin; her aunt, Georgette (Sissy) Telescus; mother-in-law, June Petrafassi; brother-in-law, Joseph Petrafassi and his wife Rose.
Lesley was also blessed with two grandchildren, Peyton Riley Hassinger-Headen and Kaiden Petrafassi. She also leaves many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who were all very dear to her.
Born and raised in Waterbury, Lesley attended Waterbury public schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School, class of 1983, and earned her bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance from Post University.
She was a dedicated team leader and supervisor of accounting and finance for Carling Technologies Inc./Littelfuse for the past 14 years. Lesley was also a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of Waterbury.
Lesley enjoyed cooking, shopping, playing cards, home remodeling, decorating, traveling, and especially laughing and spending time with family.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff members of the MSICU at Saint Francis Hospital and Trauma Center; their care, compassion and support have been exemplary.
Visitation with the family will be at The United Methodist Church of Waterbury, 250 Country Club Road, Waterbury, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m., and a celebration of life service will immediately follow.
