It used to be known as “Billy Williams’ cabbage patch”. Tomorrow Twickenham stadium will be a place of pilgrimage for thousands of Irish rugby fans, praying for a repeat of past glories.
Out on the pitch the closest thing to cabbages in the modern era are the cauliflower ears of the prop forwards.
