Crash injures pedestrian on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Raleigh

A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a vehicle on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Raleigh early Friday morning.
A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after the crash, which happened around 1:30 a.m.
Officials say the victim was not on a crosswalk and the driver remained at the scene.
It is not yet known whether charges will be filed. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
The road was taped off with yellow police tape stretching from Coleman St. to Quarry St.
