Klopp, who was under contract at Anfield until 2026, has since hinted at retiring from management altogether.

One of the club's most loved managers, Klopp has won eight major honours, including both the Premier League and Champions League.

Having already won the Carabao Cup in February, the former Borussia Dortmund gaffer could end the season with a bang by scooping a quadruple if Liverpool win the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup too.

When will Klopp officially leave Liverpool?

Klopp's leaving date will depend when Liverpool's final game of the season takes place, due to him exiting his contact early.

Had he been leaving at the end of a deal this summer, his final day under contract at Anfield would have been Sunday, June 30.

But instead, the 56-year-old is optionally stepping down from his post early, which will come the day after Liverpool's final match.

Fortunately for Liverpool fans, their team's performance in the cup competitions may prolong the inevitable for as long as possible.
