On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, devotees were seen offerings prayers at the Shri Siddeshwar temple in Caisua-Chapora. On this day, people honour Lord Shiva as he saved the world from destruction. As per Hindu mythology, Maha Shivratri is the night when Lord Shiva executed the cosmic dance of creation, preservation, and destruction, famously known as the ‘Tandava’. It is also the day that he got married to Goddess Parvati.
