Workers’ fight for the right to work remotely may have resulted in a hollow victory

Workers have the right to request remote working, the Government announced yesterday. “Don’t I already have that?” you might ask. The truth is of course you do, just as your employer has the right to say no.

But this new entitlement to request remote working is a legal one.
