Novak Djokovic channelled his inner-Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier Drogba when celebrating a goal ahead of his Round of 64 clash at Indian Wells.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion is currently in California for the 2024 BNP Paribas Open, a competition he has won five times.

World no.1 Djokovic will face Aleksandar Vukic in the second round as he looks to bounce back from his Australian Open semi-final exit.

However, he appears very calm ahead of his return to the court, so much so that he played a mini football match in the west coast sun.

Joining him on the pitch was fellow tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas ahead of his match with Lucas Pouille on Friday night.

Djokovic proved his skill with a ball at his feet instead of a tennis racket in hand by scoring a close-range goal through the goalkeeper's legs.

He ran away in celebration and started to push his hands out to the side in a move that was synonymous with Chelsea legend Drogba.

The Serbian then jumped in the air and landed with his arms stretched out as he pulled off Ronaldo's iconic 'Siu' celebration.

It's not the first time he has emulated the Portuguese legend as he did the same thing after hitting an impressive drive at the Ryder Cup All-Star match.

Djokovic will hope he can take his success from the pitch onto the court when he and Vukic meet at Indian Wells.
