The new plant is scheduled to be fully operational by December 2024 and will reduce reliance on imported components, create high-skilled jobs, and advance India's EV charging capabilities.
Servotech Power Systems, a key player in India's electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, has announced a strategic initiative to enhance the nation's self-sufficiency in crucial EV charger components. The company has partnered with an international firm to establish a manufacturing facility dedicated to producing Power Modules, Control Circuits, and PLCs for EV chargers. The new facility will initially produce 24,000 power modules annually, with plans to scale up to 2.4 lakh units annually to meet the growing demand of the Indian EV market. The initiative is expected to create high-skilled jobs, contribute to economic growth, and advance India's EV charging capabilities.
Arun Handa, Chief Technical Officer at Servotech Power Systems Ltd., stated, "Our goal is to establish Servotech as a leading supplier of EV Chargers and OEM supplier of Power Modules for Indian EV Charger manufacturers.
