The town of Avon’s second annual Battle of the Bands is set to take place during AvonLIVE! on Wednesday, June 12, in Harry A. Nottingham Park. Following last year’s inaugural event, with Trees Don’t Move taking home bragging rights as the “Best Band in Eagle County,” this year will again celebrate local musical talent.
Battle of the Bands will take place on Wednesday, June 12, from 6 to 8:50 p.m at the Avon Performance Pavilion. Each band will play a 35-minute set with no more than a 10-minute break between acts. PA systems will be provided and shared by all bands, and compensation will be provided for all participating bands.
Eagle County bands are invited to submit their entries for a chance to perform. To qualify for Avon’s Battle of the Bands, at least one band member must reside full-time in Eagle County. Full details are provided on the submission form.
The application window is open through March 31 at 11:59 p.m. All submissions must be made through the online form accessible on Avon’s website.
After the submission window closes, the Battle of the Bands committee will select the top four bands to compete for the title of “Best Band in Eagle County” at AvonLIVE!. The selected bands will be contacted via email by Monday, April 8.
