Regarding the March 3 article “House Republicans often vote no on spending — but love to add pet projects,” I’ve got a funding solution.

Allow members of Congress to attach all the earmarks to federal funding bills they feel are important to their home states and districts. Then tally them up and raise the taxes on those with taxable income of more than $1,000,000. Or hire more Internal Revenue Service auditors to collect taxes the wealthy legally owe, but aren’t paying.
