Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.05% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:39AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.87 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.03 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.05 per cent at 918.3 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 2.21 points at 22476.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 8.86 points at 74077.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, SBFC Finance, Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Chemfab Alkalis, Rallis India, Tata Chemicals, NIIT Learning System and Laxmi Goldorna House hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Platinum Industries, Sanco Industries, Compuage Infocom, Indiabulls Intgrtd and The Western India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
