This is possibly the most important election year ever. With such issues as immigration, economy, crime, gun policy and education heading up our list of voter concerns, we need to have our voices heard. We invite you to join the Republican Caucus and discuss these important issues with your neighbors.

I believe there is hope to turn things around. This year’s election cycle will determine how we as a community are going to respond to the things within our control. Our community needs everyone to get out and vote this year. It starts at the local level with the county caucus to elect the future of Moffat County and beyond.

The Moffat County Republican Caucus is right around the corner. To participate in the caucus, you need to be a registered Republican residing within Moffat County and your precinct during the past 30 days. The caucus is where delegates are elected to move on to the County Assembly. Delegates then choose local candidates to put on the primary ballot. Delegates will also be elected at County Assembly to go on to the State Assembly.

The Moffat County Republican Caucus is at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7. The location of the caucus is at Moffat County High School. There are other caucus locations throughout the county for the residents in Browns Park, Maybell, Dinosaur and Hamilton. The County Assembly is March 23 at the Fairgrounds Pavilion starting at 8 a.m.

This year is shaping up to be an important year to decide the future of our country. We need everyone to turn out and vote. Thank you all for your support.
