Ajay Devgn, R Madhvan and Jyotika starrer Shaitaan is slated to realse in the theaters this weekend. However, ahead of the release the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified the film with U/A certificate. Shaitaan has reportedly undergone four changes and one cut. For the unversed, Shaitaan is a remake of the Gujarati movie Vash.

The story of the film revolves around black magic as the trailer hinted. The Censor Board has requested to add a voiceover that includes the disclaimer, the film does not support/endorse black magic. The board has also requested to Director Vikas Bahl to substitute an offensive term with a sound of screem. Shaitaan reportedly only received one cut.

CBFC directed the makers of a graphic scene to reduce the amount of blood dripping from the mouth by 25%. Another request is for the movie to include a message about alcohol consumption. Shaitaan’s runtime has been determined to be 132 minutes with these modifications.

In Shaitaan, Jyothika wiil be seen playing the role of Devgn’s wife, while R Madhavan will play the antagonist. Ajay and Madhavan were asked if they would consider switching roles during the trailer launch. Ajay acknowledged that he wasn’t excited to play the antagonist since he identified most with the feelings of the film’s helpless father.

Shaitan is directed by Vikas Bahl and is supported by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios in addition to being produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. The film, which is scheduled to open in theaters on March 8, 2024, promises to immerse audiences in the ongoing struggle between opposing factions.

Meanwhile, on workfront, Ajay Devgn will be next seen in Rohit Shettry’s Shingham Again alongside Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor and Tiger Shroff. Ajay will be also seen in films like Maidaan, Raid 2 and Dhamal 4.

Laapataa Ladies made a total box office collection of Rs 7.49 crore in 5 days of its release on Wednesday. The film made Rs 50 lakh net on Tuesday after earning the same amount on Monday in the domestic market. Earlier the ticket sales of Laapataa ladies increased over the weekend. The film made Rs 75 lakh on its first day of release, March 1. The collection increased to Rs 1.7 crore on Sunday.

The overall occupancy rate of Laapataa Ladies all over India was the highest in Chennai (36%).In Bhopal, the occupancy rate was 30%. In Hyderabad, it was 20.25%. After having its world premiere as Lost Ladies at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8, the film was released in theatres all over India on March 1.

Laapataa Ladies features Pratibha Ratna, Nitanshi Goel, Sparsh Srivastav and Ravi Kisan in important roles. The film is a comic take on two brides in rural India who accidentally get swapped during a train journey. The story of the film is set in the fictitious state of Nirmal Pradesh.

It is the story of two brides Phool and Pushpa, who accidently get swapped on a train. One is taken away by the grom while the other is left at the railway station. Laapata Ladies has been presented by Jio studios and produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran Rao’s Kindling Productions.

She said even though the film contains a feminist message and the makers of the film have not gone through male bashing because the male characters are very good, barring a couple who are villans. The film is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay of Laapataa ladies has been written by Sneha Desai and the dialogues have been given by Divyanidhi Sharma.

The poster features Ajay, who is portrayed as the coach, embracing his team against a backdrop that prominently features the Indian flag. Maidaan is a gripping story of a man, a squad, and a country who were all motivated by a single, unwavering belief that had an eternal effect on football history. The film, which is presented by Zee Studios and Bayview Projects in collaboration with Fresh Lime Films, features a stellar cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao. Maidaan is slated to release in theaters on the festive occasion of Eid in April 2024.
