WOLCOTT – Mrs. Diana (Montrose) Polletta, age 79, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at Cheshire House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Donald Polletta Sr.

Diana was born on June 25, 1944, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Thomes) Montrose. She was a graduate of Wolcott High School, class of 1962. Diana went on to work at Saint Mary’s Hospital as an admitting clerk, and later as an office manager for physicians.

Diana enjoyed making pizza and having her family and friends over. She loved to go out for lunch and shop, maybe even a trip to the casino with her close friends.

Diana always attended her grandchildren’s sports games with her husband. Diana dedicated her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Diana was exceptional in almost every way, and she instilled in her children a strong work ethic and the importance of family. Our family thanks you Mom, for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for thousands of hugs you shared with us and the unending love you instilled in all of us.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her beloved husband Donald, are her sons, Donald Polletta Jr. and his wife Lori, and David Polletta and his wife Dawn. Donald and Diana were blessed with six grandchildren, Sara (Cole) Phelps, Nicholas Polletta, Joshua (Kyleigh) Polletta, Jacob Polletta, Collin, and Hayden; and her great-granddaughter, Tatum Phelps.

She also leaves her brother, John (Nancy) Montrose; and many extended family members and friends.
