Matheus Nunes suffers ‘grotesque’ finger injury and immediately substituted by Man City

Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes suffered a horror finger injury in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The 25-year-old dislocated his finger during their Last-16 clash Copenhagen at the Etihad.

TNT commentator Darren Fletcher said of the incident: "His finger was bent grotesquely."

City's medical team rushed onto the field and immediately put his finger back into place.

He was not able to carry on, despite the injury being taped up, and was immediately substituted.

Youngster Micah Hamilton came on to replace him.
