The Last of Us 10th Anniversary Vinyl Box Set Looks Awesome

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a must-watch if you’re someone who loves campy B-movies of the horror genre variety. Now, the movie is scheduled to be released on 4K, thanks to Shout! Factory. Shout! is releasing the cult classic in a number of different special editions meant to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the film’s release. The most expensive version ($175) includes a whole lot of commemorative memorabilia, including a series of posters, slipcovers, and a lobby card, among other things. It’s not available yet but will be in May.

Robert Eggers’ weird movie about two guys trapped in a lighthouse is one of A24's more visually striking releases. This month, the screenplay for the movie is being released as a collectible screenplay book. If you’re one of those people who enjoys reading screenplays (aka incorrigible film nerds), this might be up your alley. The book comes with photographs and special features, including an introduction by Willem Dafoe and a number of essays.

Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors is a classic anthology horror movie that, for years, has been a favorite of the midnight movie circuit. The film features a cast of notable actors in early roles, including Christopher Lee, Donald Sutherland, and Peter Cushing. Now, Vinegar Syndrome is dual releasing it on 4K and Blu-ray. The film, which isn’t available yet, is currently available to pre-order.

Dune Part 2 is still breaking the box office but if you’ve already seen it on the big screen and can’t wait to own a physical copy you can already pre-order a 4K steelbook version of the new sci-fi epic. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has confirmed that the movie will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and as a 4K Steelbook. The movie will be available in physical format at some point in the coming months, although the official release date is yet to be announced.

There’s already a 4K version of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock but a new version is coming soon. That’s because this year is the 40th anniversary of the seminal Trek movie’s release. The Digital Bits reports that Paramount plans to re-release Spock on May 28th; the outlet notes that it will “likely be the same remastered disc released recently, just in new packaging.” In other words: If you already have this disc, you can definitely sleep on the upcoming edition. However, if you don’t have a copy (and are in the market for one), you might want to wait and get the newest version. Other than its immediate predecessor, there are few movies in the Trek franchise that can beat Search for Spock. It’s got plenty of action, cool visuals, Klingons, and (spoiler alert) Spock comes back from the dead.

Guillermo del Toro’s 2015 Crimson Peak is a weird gothic horror story of the H.P. Lovecraft variety. It’s basically a Roger Corman movie with a much bigger budget. Now, Arrow Video is releasing a limited edition 4K version of it, which comes with a host of commemorative memorabilia, as well as tons of special features.

Italian horror director Lucio Fulci was responsible for a number of cult classic zombie movies, including City of the Living Dead, which came out in 1980. Arrow Video has decided to release a limited edition version of Fulci’s movie on 4K. The trailer gives you a taste of some of the awesome picture quality and campy theatrics. The discs are currently available for pre-order and will come out at the end of the month.

Pentiment is one of the coolest-looking video games that’s been released in years. The game, which developed by Obsidian Entertainment, features artful 2D animation and revolves around a series of murders in a 16th-century Benedictine community. While the game has only been available via digital delivery until now, Limited Run Games is releasing a physical copy for the first time on all the consoles. As its title implies, Limited Run often sells limited editions of games for a limited period of time. Sales for Pentiment close on March 24th.

If you’re someone who geeks out on listening to movie scores, you might be excited about the Se7en soundtrack coming to vinyl for the first time ever. The score, composed by Howard Shore, is being released by Waxwork Records with artful new colored records and jackets.
