For two seasons now, one of the greatest pleasures of The Traitors, the Peacock reality show that wrapped up its latest round last week, has been watching host Alan Cumming devour the scenery while dressed to the nines in a different fashion-forward ensemble each episode. Sure, we found ourselves getting invested in the social deduction game, and it’s been fun watching the players try to figure each other out, but nothing beats the delight of seeing what Cumming is wearing when he arrives in the breakfast room each morning to announce who was “murrrderred” the night before.
Inspired by the sartorial traditions of his native Scotland, where the show is filmed, Cumming’s tasteful and often playful looks incorporate colorful tartan prints and natural textiles like wool and tweed with a modern twist. For an added touch of drama, he routinely accessorizes his well-tailored suits and smart kilts (some of which come from his own wardrobe) with a variety of hats, gloves, scarves, capes, and brooches befitting a Scottish lord.
We went back and looked at all 20 episodes of The Traitors so far to rank Cumming’s glorious outfits, from merely adequate (because nothing he wears is actually bad) to absolutely fabulous.
