Landon Barker Reveals That He Has ‘Very Minor’ Tourette’s Syndrome

In a recent TikTok comment beneath a video of Landon Barker signing autographs and answering questions from paparazzi, one user inquired about whether the musician and influencer has Tourette’s syndrome. Before anyone could speculate much further, Barker shared a response video addressing the comment himself.
“I figured I’d speak on this eventually,” he began in the video. “I actually do have very, very minor Tourettes. I’ve had it since I can remember, like preschool. I remember exactly because the teacher used to accuse me of rolling my eyes at her — because one of my tics was a weird thing I do with my eyes.”
The 20-year-old, son of drummer Travis Barker, added that as he’s gotten older, his Tourette’s manifests most often in jerking head movements or jaw reflexes. He added: “Really just acts up in nervous situations and nerve-racking environments for me. But I thought I’d just share because why not?”
In recent years, artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Billie Eilish have also detailed their experience with Tourette’s syndrome, a nervous system disorder that causes repetitive movements, sounds, or tics that aren’t easily controlled. According to the Mayo Clinic, more than 200,000 people report having the chronic condition each year in the U.S. alone.
“When they told me, I was like, ‘That makes so much sense,’” Capldi shared in 2022. “It ebbs and flows…. Unfortunately, there’s no clear and ‘here’s this thing we can do nothing about.’ But now it’s about handling my general anxiety.”
