Hilts: Never again will I vote for a mill levy increase

Kudos to George Johnson and Beatrix Elting for their letter regarding percentage property tax increases in Pitkin County. We are with you.

Unless any of these organizations you mentioned can justify their astronomical increases, I for one will never again vote for a mill levy increase for any of them after they gouged us this time. I think this would be a great subject for our local news media to wade into. I think it would be fascinating to get each one’s take on why they did it. Might make for great reading.
