Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation stone for infrastructure projects worth Rs 7200 crore at Sangareddy, Telangana. The projects are related to multiple key sectors like natural gas, Petroleumn and natural gas. Speaking at the event the prime minister said today 140 crore Indians are determined for Viksit Bharat (developed India).

PM Modi inaugurated the Civil Aviation Research organization (CARO) centre which was set up at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad by the Airports Authority of India to upgrade and enhance research and development (R&D) activities in the civil aviation sector. The centre has been built at a cost of more than Rs 350 crore, the state-of-art-facility is compliant with 5-STAR- GRIHA Rating and Energy conservation Building Code (ECBC) norms.

PM Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation for 3 National Highway projects. He also laid the foundation stone for the six-laning of the 29 km long Pune-Hyderabad Section of NH-65. The project will provide improved connectivity to major industrial centres in Telangana like Pashamylaram industrial area near Patancheru.

During the programme the Prime Minister inaugurated doubling and electrification of Sanathnagar- Moula Ali rail line along with 6 new station buildings. The Prime Minister also flagged off the inaugural MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport Service) Train Service from Ghatkesar- Lingampalli via Moula Ali – Sanathnagar. This train service is an extension of popular suburban train service in Hyderabad- Secunderabad twin city regions to new areas for the first time.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Indian Oil Paradip-Hyderabad Product Pipeline. The 1,212 km product pipeline with a capacity of 4.5 MMTPA traverses through the states of Odisha (329 km), Andhra Pradesh (723 km) and Telangana (160 km).

The pipeline will ensure safe and economical transportation of petroleum products from Paradip Refinery to delivery stations at Visakhapatnam, Atchutapuram, and Vijayawada (in Andhra Pradesh), and Malkapur near Hyderabad (in Telangana).  

The Congress on Tuesday attacked the Centre over the State Bank of India moving the Supreme Court to seek more time to disclose electoral bond details. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that the Modi government is using the largest bank of the country as shield to hide its unethical dealings. The State Bank of India on Monday moved the Supreme Court seeking an extension till June 30 to disclose details of each electoral bond encashed by political parties. The Apex court in its verdict had directed SBI to provide details to the election panel by March 6.

Kharge added no less the Supreme Court of India had struck down Modi government’s black money conversion scheme of Electoral Bonds  and said they are unconstitutional, violative of RTI and illegal and asking SBI to furnish donor details by March 6. The Congress President said the BJP wants it to be done after Lok Sabha Elections. The tenure of this Lok Sabha will end on 16^th June and SBI wants to share the data by 30^th June.

The Congess leader alleged BJP is the main beneficiary of this fraudulent scheme and said the Modi government is conveniently hiding the BJP’s unethical dealings where contracts of highways, ports, airports, power plants etc are being handed over to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cronies through these opaque electoral bonds.

He asked why the SBI is taking 4 months to collate this information whereas experts say that the automated data entries of donors can be divulged and matched in just 24 hours. Kharge said the position of the Congress on the electoral bonds scheme is that it is opaque, undemocratic and destroyed the level playing field. He said the Central government, Prime Minister Office and the Finance Minister have bulldozed every institution – RBI, Election Commission, Parliament and Opposition to fill BJP’s coffers.

Dumka’s Principal District Judge (PDJ) and chairman of the District Legal Services Authority met the Spanish national on Monday who was allegedly raped by 7 men in Dumka. He submitted a report regarding the same to the Jharkhand Legal Services Authority (JHALSA). The Dumka judge assured the spanish national that the rapists will be caught as soon as possible and prosecuted. He said the victim is emotionally shattered but physically stable. The police have arrested 4 persons in connection with the case till now. The search is underway to catch the remaining culprits in the case.

In his report, Anil Kumar Mishra said his team had ensured that the woman had ample security and safety while the investigation is carried out. The PDJ team further assisted the Spanish woman in recording her statement under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The Jharkhand Police paid a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to her.

Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad directed the police to file reports regarding the case on a regular basis. The Spanish couple posted a picture of the accused on social media and appealed to the public to assist them and the police in finding them. They wrote in their post that India is a great country and worth visiting and thanked the administration for all their assistance.

The couple said in their social media post that the point is that a rape or a robbery can happen to anyone including their brother, mother, daughter. They said nobody is free from that in any part of the world. The couple said these are violations which happen in all countries including Spain, Brazil, America and denied that it has happened because they are in India. The Jharkhand High Court on Monday directed the superintendent of police in Dumka to file a status report in the matter by Thursday.
