The Sara Ali Khan starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan trailer has been released today. The film, which documents a crucial phase in the quest for independence, is based on true events and is set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement of 1942.

In the biopic, Sara Ali Khan will be seen playing the role of Usha Mehta. In addition to spreading the notion that India can govern itself and doesn’t need British help, she uses radio to promote the cause.

The three-minute trailer takes viewers back to the time before independence by introducing them to 22-year-old Bombay college student Usha. In her quest to aid India in gaining its independence, Usha establishes an underground radio station, which serves as the catalyst for the Quit India Movement. The trailer emphasizes the bravery, selflessness, and resourcefulness of the country’s youth all through India’s struggle for independence through the journey of her character.

Inspired by real-life events, the film follows a crucial phase in India’s struggle for independence. The patriotic thriller-drama is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.

Along with Emraan Hashmi making a special guest appearance, the film, which is directed by Kannan Iyer, also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’Nell, and Anand Tiwari in important parts. The film has been written by Kannan and Darab Farooqui.

During a recent interview, Sara spoke about her character and said, it has been an honor beyond words to portray such a powerful character in Ae Watan Mere Watan. The movie serves as both a tribute to the strength of the human spirit and a reminder of the sacrifices made by many unsung heroes, the actor added.

The film is scheduled to release on March 21 in five languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, on Prime Videos in India and in over 240 other countries and territories globally.

Laapata Ladies has made Rs 6.36 crore in 3 days of its release. According to reports the film earned less than Rs 2 crore on its 3rd day. The film has been presented by Jio Studios and has been produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran Rao’s Kindling Productions. The story of Laapataa Ladies revolves around two brides in rural India who accidentally get swapped during a train journey.

The film is set in fictional state of Nirmal Pradesh. It is the story of Phool and Pushpa, who accidently get swapped on a train. One bride is taken away home by the groom, while the other is left stranded at a railway station. The film stars Pratibha Ratna, Nitanshi Goel and Sparsh Shrivastav with Ravi Kishan in important roles.

She said the story of Laapata Ladies is a more general take on what women go through in life.

Talking to the media, the writer of Laapata Ladies, Sneha Desai said the film is all about celebrating the power of women and also men who stand up for the right thing. She said goodness resides within everyone and one has to partake and stand up for the right thing in whatever situation they are in. She said Laapataa Ladies celebrates the power of both men and women who stand up and shoulder their responsibility.

In a video shared by Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Nita Ambani can be seen performing the devotional song Vishwambhari Stuti, sung by Shreya Ghoshal, to seek blessings for Anant and Radhika’s happy and successful marriage. The philanthropist, dressed in a Manish Malhotra saree, looked stunning the entire time.

The Bollywood actors, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan set the dance floor on fire on the second day of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding ceremony on Friday night in Gujarat’s Jamnagar as they aced the hook step of ‘Naatu Naatu’ song from ‘RRR’ movie starring Telgu actors Ram Charan and NTR Jr.

Khans of Bollywood came together after years and treated their fans with an electrifying and fun performance at a gala event of Ambanis. While SRK and Salman wore black kurtas and pyjamas for the event, Aamir went with a green ethnic outfit.

The video from the event has been shared widely on the internet. A video shared by the SRK’s fan wrote, “Fire on the floor as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan dance to Naatu Naatu at the pre-wedding celebration of Anant Ambani.”

In a video shared on X, actors Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan attempted to do the hook step of Naatu Naatu song but failed to do so.
