Sheffield United ‘the worst team in Premier League history’ and told they ‘wouldn’t win League One’

Gabby Agbonlahor has taken aim at Sheffield United, claiming that they wouldn't even be good enough to win League One.

The Blades are looking like dead-certs to make an immediate return to the EFL after a disastrous season back in the Premier League.

The last thing that Chris Wilder's side needed was a visit of Arsenal to Bramall Lane - something that was proven with the Gunners running riot to put themselves 5-0 up at half time in what's been a rampant display.

Things then got even worse in the second half, with Arsenal making it 6-0 just before the hour mark in an emphatic performance.

As a result, Blades fans were spotted leaving the stadium just 15 minutes into the clash with the north London side.

While Mikel Arteta's side showed why they're genuine title contenders, it was a performance that showed the grave reality of how Sheffield United are shaping up this term.

Taking to X, he wrote: "Honestly football can be a lot about luck.

"There are better players in League One than what Sheffield United have on show!

"This team wouldn’t win League One - facts!"
