Ubiquiti Access Points And Managing Them

I am planning to install Ubiquiti access points in my 3 storied home ,

I have a Mikrotik RB5009 router that is my main router and has dual wan failover configured on it primarly would be connecting APs to a POE switch and internet would be managed by mikrotik.

My main question is, to manage the ubiquiti access points, do I need to buy the UDM Pro Router or their cloud gateway???

Can they be easily managed without these two?
If yes then please elaborate

Previously had tp link DECO as my setup , removing them now.

From what my limited research tells me

2 ways to run ubiquity is
- UDM/ Unify gateway hardware
- Running Unify controller os on other hardware like a mini PC

For me personally I would go for UDM unless I have the other hardware laying around because more or less it will cost me almost the same.

Edit (added later)

The above is for basic control of your APs. If you just want to use the AP as basic AP just connect it to any router over Ethernet.
