
Granit Xhaka using Arsenal collapse as lesson for teammates as he fends off Harry Kane and Bayern Munich
Granit Xhaka is taking nothing for granted as he looks to finish off an almighty Bundesliga upset.
Xhaka’s Bayer Leverkusen are the story of the season in European football, still unbeaten in 34 games in all competitions, and now ten points clear at the top of the league.
With ten games to go, it’s looking increasingly likely that Leverkusen will finally be the team to end Bayern Munich’s 11-year Bundesliga winning streak.
However, Xhaka was in a similar situation last season with Arsenal, and won’t be counting his chickens just yet.
The Gunners were eight points clear of Manchester City in 2022/23 and dreaming of a first title in almost two decades, but they eventually ended up five points short.
A 2-0 win over FC Koln extended Leverkusen’s lead over Bayern who drew against Freiburg, but speaking post-match, Xhaka was keen to point out that there's plenty more to do.

“It’s good and we can be proud of it, but nothing is won yet,” he began. “I’m speaking about my own experience of what happened last season.
“I think it was similar points over second and we didn’t win the league so I know the experience and this is what I share with the dressing room as well.
“Of course ten points is a lot in football when you have ten games left but ten points when there’s another 30 points you can take, it
