AirAsia is committed to reuniting Malaysians with their families and loved ones for the festive season, particularly during Hari Raya. To facilitate this, the airline has introduced over 22,000 seats at set prices for late-night flights connecting Peninsular Malaysia with East Malaysia.

From April 5 to April 17, 2024, travelers can book one-way flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, or Miri, as well as from Johor Bahru to Kuching, Sibu, or Miri, at a promotional fare of RM298. Additionally, flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, or Tawau, and from Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu are offered at a special price of RM348 one-way.

These promotional rates are available for booking from today until April 17, 2024, through the AirAsia website and the AirAsia MOVE app, formerly known as the ‘airasia Superapp’.

Alongside the 122 late-night flights on 11 routes between the Peninsula and East Malaysia at fixed rates, AirAsia is also conducting 735 regular flights each week to Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. This increased frequency supports the government’s initiative for the festive season, providing more options for travelers.

Minister of Transport, YB Anthony Loke said: “The government remains committed to facilitating air travel for Malaysians at reasonable and affordable fares. These commitments represent a collaborative effort with industry players such as AirAsia to ensure the welfare of Malaysians. Thus, I am pleased to support AirAsia’s Fixed Fares initiative for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration. Moreover, the recent announcement of a maximum fare of RM599 for one-way economy class flights to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan in the days leading up to Hari Raya Aidilfitri demonstrates our proactive approach to meet the needs of travellers while promoting inclusivity and affordability. We eagerly anticipate further collaboration with all industry partners to ensure that all Malaysians can travel home safely, affordably, and conveniently during the festive season.”

Group CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group, Bo Lingam said: “In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya celebration, a time of joyous reunions and cherished traditions, AirAsia is honoured to play a vital role in reuniting families and loved ones. Our fixed fares flights between Peninsula and East Malaysia not only make travel affordable but also signify our commitment to support the government’s festive season fare initiative. The upcoming festive season is one of our busiest periods and our goal is to enable everyone to be able to balik kampung during this special time. This would not be possible without the dedication of our Allstars who will be working around the clock to ensure that our guests can fly home affordably and safely. We look forward to flying thousands of our guests back to their hometowns this Hari Raya.”

Travelers planning to fly during the festive season are strongly recommended to use the AirAsia MOVE app for self check-in, an option available up to 14 days prior to their flight’s departure date. Utilizing the e-Boarding Pass for boarding is also suggested. Moreover, to ensure a smooth journey through all travel formalities during this busy time, guests should plan to arrive at least two hours before their domestic flight’s scheduled departure.
