In March 2024, the Austin Convention Center is poised to become the epicenter of a wide array of significant events, transforming it into a lively and engaging venue for the entire month. The center will host the esteemed South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festival, recognized internationally for its comprehensive multi-week agenda that spans various sectors. Additionally, the center will be the venue for the NHIA 2024 Annual Conference, the Lone Star Classic Warm Up volleyball tournament, and an exclusive private gathering. This eclectic mix of events promises to keep the venue teeming with excitement and activity.

The SXSW festival, a hallmark event based in Austin, is a celebration that brings together the worlds of tech, film, and music. Scheduled from March 8-16, the festival at the Austin Convention Center includes several key components: SXSW EDU from March 4-7, the main SXSW Conference running from March 8-15, the SXSW Film & TV Festival also from March 8-15, and the SXSW Music Fest from March 11-15, making it a globally recognized festival of multimedia.

Additionally, the Austin Convention Center is proud to serve as the primary registration site for SXSW and to partner as a Technology Partner for the 2024 edition of the festival.

The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) Annual Conference is another highlight, set for March 24-27 at the convention center. NHIA24 aims to bring together a diverse group of professionals from the home infusion therapy and home-based service industries, featuring over 60 educational sessions, 130 exhibitors, and ample networking opportunities, positioning it as a pivotal event in the sector.

From March 30-31, the Austin Convention Center will also host the 2024 Lone Star Classic Warm Up volleyball tournament, organized by Austin Junior Volleyball (AJV). This event will showcase junior girls’ volleyball teams, with participants ranging from 11 to 17 years old, in a two-day tournament.

Managed by the Austin Convention Center Department (ACCD), a division of the City of Austin, both the Austin Convention Center and Palmer Events Center are set to ensure these events run smoothly and successfully, reflecting the dynamic and versatile nature of the venue.
