Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, other INDIA bloc leaders join Lalu Yadav’s Jan Vishwas rally in Patna
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and RJD Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha also attended the rally.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and other leaders of the Opposition bloc INDIA joined the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav at Jan Vishwas rally in Bihar’s Patna on Sunday.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and RJD Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha were among the prominent leaders from the INDIA bloc who attended the Jan Vishwas, which was organised by the RJD.
Addressing the Jan Vishwas rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Gandhi said whenever there has been a transformation in the country, it began from Bihar and then reached the rest of the country.
Bihar is the political nerve centre of our country, the Congress leader asserted. There is an ideological war in the country, he added. There is hatred, violence and arrogance on one side and the other side there is love, respect and brother, Gandhi said. He further asserted saying, the INDIA alliance can be understood in one sentence, “Nafrat Ke Bazaar Mein Mohabbat Ki Dukan.”
During the Jan Vishwas rally, Akhilesh Yadav hit out at the BJP and said on one hand, Uttar Pradesh is giving the slogan of “80 Harao,” Bihar is also raising the slogan of “40 Harao.” What will happen to BJP if both UP and Bihar make them lose 120 seats, the SP chief asked. In 2024, ‘Samvidhaan Manthan’ was going to take place. On one side, there were the protectors of the Constitution and on the other side, there were the destroyers of the Constitution, the former Chief Minister of UP recalled.
Lalu Yadav, addressing the rally, said Bihar has given lots of great personalities. In the same Gandhi Maidan, leaders of the country have held rallies and meetings, he added. A message went to the whole country from here. Bihar’s opinion has so much power that the people of the country imitate what Bihar decides, the RJD chief further said.
Hitting out at the BJP, Kharge said that today, the INDIA alliance has been facing the BJP on the battleground. He also said that how BJP has been misusing the agencies to instil fear in them. This was not possible as INDIA was not here to bow down before them, Kharge emphasised.
Attacking Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, he said in Hindi, “Main Thode Din Ke Liye Bahar Gaya Tha, Main Phir Wapas Aaya Hoon” and added that he asked Tejashwi Yadav not to take him to the party if he returned.

Rahul Gandhi says India has more unemployed youth than Pakistan, Bangladesh
Gandhi asked why India has more unemployed youth.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Sunday that India has more unemployed youth than Pakistan and even more than that of Bangladesh and Bhutan.
During his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, Gandhi addressed a gathering and made a statement about the current situation of unemployment in the country.
Today, the country is experiencing the highest level of unemployment in the past 40 years. In comparison to Pakistan, India has double the unemployment rate, the Wayanad MP said.
Gandhi further said that 23% of Indian youth and 12% of Pakistani youth are unemployed, which is higher than the unemployment rates of Bhutan and Bangladesh.
Hitting out at BJP, Gandhi asked why India has more unemployed youth, he added saying because Prime Minister Narendra Modi has finished small businesses by implementing GST and through demonetization.
Gandhi further slammed PM Modi and said the reason why hatred is spreading in the country is because of economic injustice, social injustice, and injustice against farmers and youth.
However, according to the International Monetary Fund, Pakistan’s unemployment rate was 8.5%, whereas India’s rate stood at 3.2% based on the Periodic Labour Force Survey Annual Report 2022-2023.
The Congress leader expressed his concerns about economic inequality, social injustices, and the difficult situation of farmers and youth. He criticised the impact of policies such as GST and demonetisation, which he believed had led to a rise in unemployment rates, the highest in four decades.
Moreover, the leader highlighted the marginalised status of 73% of the population, including Other Backward Classes, tribals, and Dalits. He emphasised their exclusion from governance and economic opportunities.
Gandhi accused the central government of showing bias towards industrialists over farmers. He criticised the government’s decision to grant massive loan waivers to select industrialists while neglecting the debt relief required by farmers.
Gandhi emphasised the importance of prioritising funding for essential social welfare programs, such as MGNREGA. He further stressed that it is crucial to utilise funds for public welfare instead of catering to the interests of a few.
