On Saturday, Feb. 17, Ascendigo Autism Services celebrated 20 years of “elevating the spectrum by empowering people, inspiring lives, and shattering expectations” at the Ascendigo Blue benefit. As guests arrived at St. Regis Aspen, they were given a piece of paper folded four times into a square, which appeared to be blank but was written on in invisible ink. After descending the stairs and arriving at a bookcase, they presented it for access to the party. Once blacklight was shined on it, a password was revealed in bright blue letters, admitting access to an enchanting evening in the ballroom.

The Art of Air provided entertainers dressed in Great Gatsby attire, swimming in oversized martini glasses, and performing acrobatics in glittery attire.

While blue is always the color de rigueur at this beloved benefit, most guests embraced the theme of the Roaring ’20s with women wearing flapper dresses with feathery boas and gents sporting suits with wingtip shoes and fedoras.

The team behind Ascendigo Blue – composed of a board, event committee, passionate staff, and caring friends and families – helped raise nearly $400K for this worthy cause that makes a difference in so many lives.

2024 marks two decades of Ascendigo empowering individuals with autism and developmental disabilities in the Roaring Fork Valley, creating a more inclusive world, and propelling all involved forward with renewed energy and determination.
