WATERTOWN – Barbara Duhamel, 88, of Watertown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024. She was the wife of Henry Duhamel.

Barbara was born Oct. 7, 1935, in Montreal, Canada, to the late Reginald Harmon Tulley and Leonora Tulley. Barbara began her education with a degree in nursing and later received a degree in business administration from Post University.

Throughout her nursing career, Barbara worked at various hospitals across the United States. She ended her nursing career at Brewster Manor Nursing and Rehab in Brewster, Mass.

Barbara actively volunteered throughout her life, becoming one wherever she called home. Barbara enjoyed knitting, needlework, and quilting. Most importantly, Barbara loved every dog that came into her life.

Besides her husband, Barbara is survived by her sons, Douglas Kennedy, wife Peggy Kennedy, of Laramie, Wyo., and David Kennedy of Danbury; her grandchildren Raif Kennedy and Katie Kennedy; and several stepsons, daughters, and grandchildren.

Barbara was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Kennedy; brother John Tulley; first husband Thomas Kennedy; second husband Joseph O’Neill; and grandson Richard Kennedy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to call Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St. Watertown.
